Thinking Outside the Garment Bag - Beach Walking

The last two days I have been going to the beach. I LOVE the beach and ocean in the winter.

Sal, myself and sweet Lily took a ride to Silverstrand in Oxnard on the 1st. It was my first time being there. It is a raw place with barbed wire, wall paintings and graffiti and then this beautiful and open beach with sail boats slipping out of the Harbor and surfers running out to catch the waves. The sky was cloudy and cold. It was beautiful. We kissed on the beach while Lily sat and waited.

Then Yesterday Lily and I spent almost the entire day alone together. We took this long quiet walk to Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara. I love walking there, takes about an hour round trip from my house. The air was super warm on Saturday and the sun was so bright with only wispy clouds in the sky. There was a HUGE amount of surfers at Butterfly, which seems to only happen when the surf is going off. I could only imagine what Rincon would have looked like, a small city in the water.

The sail boat is still there ransacked and dragged deeper in the sand. The man who carves circles in the sand had been there just before with new designs freshly made. Family's were out in full force, children running and parents keeping up with then and grandparents seated comfortably with blankets packed around them, smiling at the beauty they have created.

It has been a quiet weekend. I am taking the Christmas decorations down today. I am not sad but settled. I am neither reflecting or projecting but rather being in the present. It is exactly where I need to be.

I hope you all had an awesome weekend!!!!!! :)
