Johnson Motor Inc - Deadly Fast

Jacket: Paul Smith, Tee: Johnson Motor Inc Deadly Fast Tee, Jeans: Protege 5 Year Grey, Shoes: Vans,

My super rad husband let me dress him up so that I can show you one of my favorite new tee line at Blue Bee Men, Johnson Motor INC

Started in 1936, by Bill Johnson and Wilbur Cedar in Pasadena, California. In one year they became the #1 distributor of some of my favorite bikes such as Triumph, Ariel and Indian. Part of the "Great Escape" era that I can only dream and read about.

These awesome old school designs you can wear now. HOW RAD IS THAT!!!!!! Now I just need to get a 1970's Triumph Tiger to sport my tee on....well Sal's tee on.

Stripe Spotting

Photo: Delphine Achard

Paul Smith“The idea behind my spring-summer ’10 collection came from my ongoing connection with music and musicians, thinking about them traveling around the world buying clothes as they went.

For instance, classic suits in London, Hawaiian shirts in the U.S., brightly colored stripes in Italy, often mixed with slim-fit trousers in a variety of colors worn with English shoes with a shorter shape than the ones we have been using, which had more of a European look. Colors for suits go from black to navy and lots of gray.

Some of the suitings are very rock ’n’ roll with a shiny finish or strong stripes — all in a very Paul Smith collection — mix it with what you want.”

1.What is your favorite piece of clothing right now?

My favorite piece of clothing is always (and will probably always be) my Great China Wall hand-painted vintage leather jacket. It fits me like a glove…as if it was custom made for me.

2.What is the most important element in dressing a woman well?

My goal with dressing women (and men) is to always be sure they look great, feel great, and have an amazingly fun experience during the process. I know that sounds like 3 important elements, but let’s just call it all one big important element.

3. What are you most passionate about in life?

I would have to say that I am most passionate about life and our business, Blue Bee. The older I get, the better I feel about my life, my experiences, and the wonderful customers I meet on a daily basis. I feel very passionate about making people smile and laugh. When my customers leave happy, I feel complete.

4.What do you have in your closet that you love SO much but have nowhere to wear it?

In my previous career, I was an Officer in the US Public Health Service. I still have my uniform, including cap. I really have no place to wear this uniform, unless I became active duty again, or dressed up as an Officer for Halloween.

5.What is the greatest lesson that your Mother has taught you?

There are many lessons that my Mom has taught me over the years of my life. All seem really important and I probably cannot list them all…but I can list a few…so here goes. She always taught us, as children, to treat everyone as we would like to be treated. She taught me how to help people in need. She taught me how to save money. She taught me independence. And possibly the most valuable lesson my Mom has taught me in life is…how to listen.
